Bank El Haz is one of the most popular games in the Arab world, especially in Egypt. It relies on strategic skills, where players build their empires in an entertaining and fast-paced manner. To win the game, a player must collect three complete sets of different colors. Players use cards to acquire opponents' territories and earn money from them.
How to Play
1. At the beginning, each player is dealt 5 cards, which they must keep hidden from their opponents.
2. The remaining cards are placed in the center stack, and players draw from it during their turn.
3. The game starts with the player to the right of the dealer and proceeds counterclockwise.
4. Each player draws two cards during their turn, or five cards if they have none.
5. Players can make up to three moves per turn.
6. Players can build shops or cafes only on completed sets, but they need to build shops before cafes.
7. Players cannot build on airports, ports, or the black set in general.
8. The double card can be used twice on the same property, but it counts as two moves.
9. Players cannot view other players' banks or know the cards in their possession.
10. Players can know the value of the money each opponent has.
11. The game continues until a player collects three complete sets of different colors.
Types of Cards
- Countries or Establishments: Players can collect cards of the same color to form sets on the playing table, specifically in the squares the player finds in front of them. However, these cards can only be collected or moved during the player's turn.
- Money Cards: Each player can earn fees and holiday bonuses, collecting money in their bank. Money cards can also be placed in the bank and counted as money. However, they remain in the bank throughout the game.
- Action Cards or Orders: These cards give the player the right to request fees, steal land from another player, or obtain a complete set. These cards can be added to the player's bank and counted as money. However, they also remain in the bank throughout the game.
- Rent Cards: Players can know the value of each card in the corner of the card based on the number of cards they collect of each color. For example, if a player has a red land card and a red rent card, they can request the rent from any player.
Payment Method
Players cannot directly pay from the cards they have in hand. When they need to make a payment, they can do so using the cards they have collected in their territory or from their bank. (Reminder: Players can only move the cards they have during their turn.)
