Competition Rules

What are Competitions?

Competitions are a feature designed for players who enjoy a challenge and want to test their skills. Players compete against each other with the goal of achieving the best performance and winning the prize.

Note: This feature is being added to users gradually and may be available to certain players first.

How Can I Join Competitions?

  1. Select the desired game module from the games list.
  2. A selection of available competitions will appear on the home page.
  3. If you want to explore more competitions, tap on the “Competitions” icon.

What are the Types of Competitions?

Round-based:

  • Single-round games: The competition is decided in a single round. Players compete once, and the winner is determined immediately based on the round results.
  • Multiple-round games: The competition consists of multiple rounds. Players accumulate scores across all rounds, and the final winner is determined based on the overall score.

Prize-based:

  • Tokens.
  • Xps.

Entry fee-based:

  • Using competition tickets: where a ticket equal to or lower than the entry fee can be used.
  • Paying with tokens.
  • Ads: Players can join by watching advertisements rather than using tokens or tickets.

Organization-based:

  • System Competitions: These competitions are automatically created and managed by the system, with predefined rules, rewards, and schedules. They can take different forms, such as AI competitions.
  • Competitions organized by users.

General Competition Rules:

  • Entry fees for competitions are non-refundable once a competition has been started, regardless of whether the player leaves the competition or does not enter it at all.

  • You can always get half of the entry fee back if you decide to leave a competition before it starts.

  • Competition tickets are non-refundable in the case of leaving the competition before it starts or after.

  • If the competition does not start due to an insufficient number of players, it will be canceled and the entry fee will be refunded to all participants.

  • In partner games, the final two winners normally split the prize (tokens and division points), while in non-partner games, the player with the highest score takes the full prize. However, only in AI competitions within partner games, the winning user receives the full prize.

  • In AI competitions for partner games, the winner receives the full prize.

  • Clubs, XPs, two seats, AI competitions and free competitions with entry fees of 500 tokens or less are not moderated.

  • Jawaker team will refund the entry fee to players in case of any outage or any technical issues that affect the competition system.

  • Division points are added immediately after the competition results are finalized.

  • There is nothing wrong with having a bot winner in competitions.

  • A player cannot leave and re-enter a competition more than 3 times according to game rules. If this limit is exceeded, re-entry is not allowed.

  • A player may leave a competition at any time, and this is not considered a violation.

Competition Organizing Rules:

  • Organizers are responsible for monitoring their competitions and making sure they run smoothly and without cheating. However, any misuse of the competition organizing system may lead to permanent account ban.
  • Organizers have the following abilities:
    • Accepting and rejecting player requests to join.
    • Investigating any claims being raised by the players.
    • Define the amount of tokens that will be given as a prize for the winners.
  • Once the competition ends, the organizer will receive 90% of the entry fees for every player that played in the competition.
  • Competition creating fees are calculated as the final prize amount in addition to (10% of the prize or 300 tokens per seat) whichever is higher.
  • Competition organizers do not have access to any privileged information about the players (tokens balance, etc).
  • Competition organizers have the right to reassign winners.
  • Competition cannot be canceled after it is created.
  • In scheduled competitions created using the “Start date” option, if 75% of seats are filled when the start time is reached, the competition starts instantly.

Complaining System:

  • After the competition ends, it enters an on-hold period for 10 minutes. During this period, players are able to review the recorded games and report any bad behavior from the organizer or other players; after that, if the action taken by the organizer was determined unfair, players will be given an additional 5 minutes to object and the issue will be escalated to one of our moderators.
    • Note: Currently, for Tarneeb competitions only, complaints must be submitted during the competition and at the time the cheating occurs with the ability to add more details after the game ends.
  • If no players have complaints at the end of the 10-minute on-hold period, or if they all click the “I have no complaints” button, then the competition will end with the same results.
  • Players must clearly describe the complaint in the description field with at least 30 characters.
  • Competition moderators have the right to ban players from competitions in case they are spamming or abuse in the description box.
  • All complaints will be logged on the competition wall.
  • Players may only file complaints about cheating or abusing in the round they participated in.
  • In the case of complaints, no tokens will be given to the winners or the organizer until the issue is resolved.
  • If a player feels that the decision made by the moderator is unfair, he\she can escalate that to our support team by reaching out the helpcenter through the settings tab or through customer.care@jawaker.com
  • Any objection to a moderator’s decision must be submitted within 24 hours after the competition results are finalized; therefore, moderator decisions cannot be reviewed again after this period.
  • Finalizing competition results may take some time. The duration depends on the number of complaints, number of participants, and other factors. Once the review is completed by our moderators team, you will be able to view the results by visiting the competition wall.
