Dominoes Rules
The Domino game is played by two or four players using 28 tiles. At the beginning of the game, each player is dealt 7 tiles. The game is played counterclockwise, and the objective is to finish placing the tiles before the opponent.
Dominoes for Two Players
The game starts by shuffling the tiles and distributing them to the players, with each receiving 7 tiles. Each tile is divided into two sections, each containing a number of spots from zero to six. Tiles with an equal number of spots in both sections, called "double tiles" or "doubles," are special. The player with the highest double tile, like double-six (6-6), begins the game.
In subsequent rounds, the player who won the previous round starts the game. Players take turns placing tiles, matching the ends with the same number of spots. If a player doesn't have a matching tile, they must draw from the remaining tiles until they get a playable tile.
When a player finishes placing all their tiles, they win the round, and points are calculated based on the opponent's remaining tiles. If the tiles run out and no player has a playable tile, the player with the fewest points on their remaining tiles wins. The game concludes when a player reaches 100 points or more, making them the overall winner.
Dominoes Partner
The game begins with the shuffling and distribution of 28 tiles, with each player receiving 7 tiles. Unlike the two-player version, there's no stockpile of tiles; all tiles are distributed among the four players. In the first round, play starts with the player holding the double-six (6-6), representing the highest double tile. In subsequent rounds, the player who won the previous round starts the game.
If a player doesn't have a playable tile, they pass their turn to the next player. If no player has a playable tile, the player with the fewest points on their remaining tiles wins the round. When a player finishes placing all their tiles, they win the round, and points are calculated based on the remaining tiles of the other players. The game concludes when a player reaches 100 points or more.
