Tarneeb Advanced Strategies
If you already know how to play Tarneeb, these five strategies can help you make smarter decisions at the table. If you are new to the game, start with the Tarneeb Rules before continuing.
1. Estimate Your Tricks
At the beginning of each round, bid for the highest number of tricks you believe your team can take. A careful estimate helps you choose the right trump suit and plan the round.
2. Draw Out the Trumps
Play trump cards to draw the remaining trumps from your opponents’ hands. This can prevent them from using those cards later in the round.
3. Third Hand Plays High
When you are the third player in a trick, play a card higher than the one before it when possible—even if the trick appears likely to be lost.
4. Signal Your Suit
Use your play to signal to your partner which suit you want them to lead.
5. Count the Cards
Keep track of the cards and suits already played. Accurate counting is one of the most important Tarneeb skills and can help you predict what remains in each player’s hand.
